Ten years ago, in 2014, I scribbled this as my actual budget and titled it The Poetry of a Diminished Bank Account. I kept it here for safekeeping and a little documentation of what I was surviving off of at this time. I plan on writing a short story related to this time period soon, and will link it here when I’m done. Consider this a little prologue.

$234- 2 weeks at minimum wage for Job #1 (Camera Op)
($7.80 x 15 hours minimum)

$136 - 2 weeks for Job #2 (Cashier at Mall) 
($8.50 x 8 hours minimum)

$300 - 2 weeks at Job #3 (research assistant, flat payment) 
(10 hours/week) 

Every 2 weeks at minimum hours they schedule me, I'd make $370 without the research job, before taxes. At most, $670 before taxes. 

Min income: $740/mo before taxes
Max income: $1340/mo before taxes

Min to keep in checking: $150
Min to keep in savings: $300

Electricity: $30 (After split 4 ways w/ roommates)
